About the Artist

Pamela's love of makeup started at an early age.  "Too early, if you ask my mother!"

As a Theatre Major in college, she was able to experiment with different makeup applications, discovering how the aesthetics of a character could influence an audience.  "I played a role where during the first half of the show, I wore no makeup on stage.  During the second half of the show,  I came out in full cosmetics and the audience just gasped.  I remember thinking that I was now being perceived as more beautiful, even though nothing had changed but the addition of makeup."  Pamela would go on to do makeup for many community and professional productions during her years in the theatre.

"I view weddings as a theatrical production.  There are rehearsals, lines to learn and a set to design.  The day of the wedding feels very much like opening night in the theatre."  Which is one reason she was drawn to bridal makeup.  "Bridal makeup is an art in itself- you must look perfect in person and in photographs.  It is a delicate balance that needs to be struck.  Not every artist is comfortable doing brides for many reasons."

As for brows, she's studied with the best of the best.  In 2006, she attended the one-time-only Damone Roberts Brow Diva Seminar in California. Only a handful of attendees were present, and Damone shared many of his sculpting secrets.  He is known as one of the most gifted artists in the industry.  Pamela has also trained and worked for the author of the book,  How to Create the Perfect Eyebrow.  Pamela is one of only 24 Nationally Certified Eyebrow Design Master Trainers in the country and was invited to work along side the author at the Chicago Midwest Beauty Show, a huge honor.

In 2008, Pamela opened a Studio in the Historic District of Ambridge, directly across the street from Old Economy Village.  "When I saw the space, I knew I had to work there."  The Studio is located in one of the original Harmonist buildings, built in 1826.  "There is so much history in this house.  It feels warm and comforting, I get very good energy working there."

Everyday Esthetics Makeup and Eyebrow Studio is the first of it's kind in the region.  It is dedicated not only to brides, but to brows as well.  "I do two things very well - brides and brows!"  Brow Couture is the signature service at the Studio, and Pamela has clients from up and down the East Coast.  "I have a woman who flies in from Miami and one I visit in New York City.  I really cannot believe how many devoted clients I am lucky enough to have."

Pamela started her career working for one of the largest and most prestigious salon groups in the state.  A loyal following of her eyebrow work led her to venturing out on her own.

In her spare time, Pamela studies voice with recording artist Patrick Arena.  "I used to sing at weddings professionally and I hope to make music a part of my Studio."  Pamela hopes to have live music in the courtyard during the warm summer months.
